1. Robert Adams (b. 10 October 1602 in Devonshire or Holderness, County of York, England, d. 12 October 1682) married Eleanor Wilmot in Great Chesterford, Essex, England. She was born between 1605-1610, d. 12 June 1677 in Newbury, Essex County, MA. 2. Jacob Adams (b. 13 September 1651 in Newbury, Essex, MA, d. November 1717 in Boston, Suffolk, MA) married Anna Ellen (or Allen or Allyn) the daughter of Nicholas Allen of Dorchester, Mass., in Newbury, Essex, MA on 07 April 1677. She was born 03 January 1657 or 1658 in Dorchester, Suffolk, MA, d. in Suffield, Hartford, CT. He removed, probably about 1681-2, to Suffield, (now Connecticut), where he was one of the most prominent and influential of the early settlers. He was often chosen to important offices, was a member of the General Court of the colony, then held in Boston, 1711 to 1714, and again in 1717. He d. in Boston, suddenly, in Nov. 1717, while in attendance upon his duties as a member of the General Court from Suffield. He acquired a large property, and was greatly esteemed. His will, dated Nov. 20, 1717, is recorded both in Boston, and at Northampton, which was the county seat of Hampshire county -- to which Suffield belonged. 3. John Adams (b. 18 June 1694 in Suffield, Hartford, CT, d. 1776) He married (1) Abigail Roe or Rowe, dau. of Peter and Sarah (Remington) Rowe on 26 July 1722. He married (2) Martha Winchell on 12 July 1732. Resided in Suffield, Conn. He bought his brother John Allyn's farm near the ferry and became a prominent man in town matters. 4. Lt. Joel Adams (b. 20 December 1729 in Suffield, Hartford, CT, d. March 1820 in Marlboro, Windham, VT) married Elizabeth Fowler in Suffield, Hartford, CT (b. 20 December 1729 in Greenfield, Huron, OH, d. 24 May 1814 in Thetford, Orange, VT). He was a soldier in the French War, and was wounded in the Battle of Lake George, 1755. He held a Lieutenant's commission under the English crown. He is said to have manumitted his slaves that they might participate in the war for independence. He settled in Marlboro, Vt. His will was probated Mar., 1820. He left his property to his wife, his sons Job, Bildad, and Joel, Jr., and to his daughters Lucina Hale, Elizabeth Otis, and Sarah Winchester; Joel Jr. was named executor.(From: Andrew Adams, A Genealogical History of Robert Adams of Newbury, Mass. and His Descendants 1635-1900 ). 5. Bildad Adams twin (b. 03 April 1765 in Suffield, Hartford, CT, d. 1826 in Milan, Huron, OH) married (1) Mary Haynes in Marlboro, Windham, VT (b. about 1769, d. 07 September 1822 in Milan, Erie, OH). She came with her parents in 1815 to Huron Co., Ohio and was a teacher. He married (2) Mrs. Esther Harper. He rem. from Marlboro, VT with his parents about 1786, settling in 1815 in Milan, Greenfield Township, Huron Co., Ohio. He was a member of the first board of County Commissioners, helping to organize the county -- the western end of the "Western Reserve" known as "the Fire Lands."
