Betty C. Curry, 87 of South Bend, Ind. joined the angels on Sunday, June 6, from Memorial Hospital. She had lived with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson until she became seriously ill last week. Funeral will be Wednesday at Holy Family Church at 10 AM. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 PM. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Obituary for Betty C. Curry (Coffeyville Journal, 09 June 2004):

Betty Curry, 87, of South Bend, Ind., formerly of Parsons, died Sunday (June 6, 2004) at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She lived with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson until becoming seriously ill last week. Mrs. Curry was born Dec. 29, 1916, at Paola to Guy and Catherine (Lindley) Cole. She graduated from Parsons High School and the University of Kansas. After completing her education, she worked with her father, managing three department stores in Neosho, Mo., and Coffeyville. In 1944, she married George Curry, who preceded her in death. After retiring in 1980, she moved to South Bend to be near her family. She was a member of the St. Joseph Valley Bridge Association, Christ Child Society and St. Jude's Catholic Church. Survivors include: a son, Paul Curry of South Bend; a daughter, Mary Chris Adams of South Bend; and four grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church in South Bend, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral home in South Bend. Memorials can be made to the Madison Center Clubhouse, 801 E.
