Walter Demetrius George (bet. 18 May 1881 in Chicago, IL, d. 25 Aug 1958 in Havana, Ciego de Avila, Cuba) married Hilda Marie Pederson (23 May 1881 - 26 Dec 1963) in Lindstrom, MN. She was born at sea and both her parents were born in Sweden. They had 4 children:

Mildred Marie George (06 June 1908 - 11 Nov 2001) married Dean Charles Gaston (22 Nov 1909 - 08 July 1984). They had 4 children:
Obituary of Mildred George Gaston: GASTON, MILDRED M. of Mason, formerly of Pleasant Lake, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2001, aged 93 years. Survived by three children, Dean (Betty) Gaston, Jean Maher, Patricia (Tarey) Welsh; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene (Chester) Cuzynski; one brother, Ralph George. Preceded in death by her husband, Dean C. Gaston; daughter Beverly Verplanck; and grandson, Mark Maher. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Golden Wedding Club. Mrs. Gaston is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. Pastor Erick Johnson officiating. Cremation to follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. "And she flew on angel's wings," our most beloved mother, grandmother and friend to all, the teacher, the statesman, the problem solver, the caregiver, known for kindness of sprit and a forgiving heart welcomed all, gatherer of hearts, the dancer, the humanist. Dean A. Gaston obituary from the Jackson Citizen Patriot: GASTON, DEAN A.
Age 73, of Pleasant Lake, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Jackson & Oaklawn. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty J.; six children, Gary D. Gaston and friend, Marilyn Horton, Craig L. (Becky) Gaston, Randy E. (Luanne) Gaston, Renee D. (Gene) Leightner, Brian L. (Tracy) Gaston, Deana M. (David) Thomas; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Gaston and his twin sister, Jean Maher; numerous nieces, nephews and his faithful dog, Tipper. Preceded in death by his parents, Dean C. and Mildred Gaston, grandson, Dean Thomas, great-grandson, Joshua Gaston and sister, Beverly VerPlanck. Dean had honorary degrees in Management Skills from both MSU and Harvard University. He was a National Sales Manager in the cabinet industry. In retirement he started local businesses in the same industry. He was also a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Deanna and Marilyn from the Dept. of Aging. Mr. Gaston is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. the Reverend Erick Johnson officiating. Interment 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society South Central Michigan Service Area would be appreciated.

Obituary of Chester "Chet" Cuzynski
Toledo Blade: Chester "Chet" Cuzynski, 79 years, of Temperance, MI, died Monday, September 20, 2004, in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio at Perrysburg. A draftsman, hge worked for Kelsey-Freeman Co. for over 20 years and several years for Mayfair Lumber Company in Toledo. The son of Joseph and Laura (Urban) Cuzynski, he was born May 15, 1925, in Toledo. A 1943 graduate of Woodward High School, he also attended the University of Toledo, and then joined the army where he served in Europe during WWII. He was wounded in action there receiving a Purple Heart for his injuries. While recuperating from his wounds he continued college in England. August 6, 1964, he married Irene George-Parks in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Toledo. After retiring from Mayfair Lumber they moved to Altadena, CA for 10 years and returned to Temperance in 1974. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Temperance, MI.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Irene; children, Christopher (Suzie) Cuzynski of Alta Loma, CA, Cassandra (Andrew) Blessing of Blountville, TN; stepdaughter, Judy Johnson of Toledo, sisters, Jane Marciniak, Dolores Nowak, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 till 8 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI by the pastor, Rev. Frank Paine, where he will lie in state from 10 till 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Toledo Memorial Park's Chapel of Memories where military honors will be conducted by Lambertville VFW Post #9656. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or the Cherry Street Mission.
