Members of Well-Known Families are United in Marriage

  The wedding of Miss Margaret Ley and Mr. John W. Nemmers, members of well known LeMars families was solemnized at St. Joseph's church in this city on Tuesday morning. The ceremony was performed by Rev. F. X. Fenorstein (?) in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. The bride was attended by Miss Elizabeth Ley and the groom was attended by his brother, Nicholas Nemmers.
  After the wedding services the bridal couple and the wedding guests repaired to the home of the bride's mother at the western house where ?? received hearty congratulations ??? event was most auspiciously ???.

  An elaborate wedding breakfast? was served at eleven o'clock to about twenty of the relatives and ?? friends and the remainder of the day was spend in rejoicing and celebrating the happy occasion to  delightful fashion.

  The young people left on the evening train on a trip through eastern Iowa and Minnesota where they will visit a number of relatives. They were followed to the train by a large crowd of friends who showered them with old shoes, rice and good wishes.

  On their return home they will make their home at the farm of the groom's father just north of town.

  Mr and Mrs. Nemmers are very popular among a large ??? and they were ??? great number of ??? and ??? tokens of esteem.

John W. Nemmers
  The Rosary will be recited for John W. Nemmers, 90, of 8705 W. 68th Place, Arvada, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in McConaty's Boulevard Mortuary, N. Federal and Speer Blvds. Mass of the Resurrection will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Shrine of St. Anne's Church, Webster St. and Grant Place, Arvada. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.
  Nemmers died Friday in Ivy Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
  Born July 29, 1880, in St. Donatus, Iowa, Nemmers was educated in Le Mars, Iowa public schools and married Margaret Ley in Le Mars in 1906. The couple moved to Denver in 1944. Mrs. Nemmers died in December 1965.
  Nemmers was a member of Trinity Council Knights of Columbus No. 1466 in Le Mars and a member of the K. of C. 4th degree.
  Survivors include two sons, C.C. and J. C., both of Denver; six daughters, Mrs. D.P. Campbell, Evergreen, Colo.; Mrs. Ray Amundsen, Mrs. Louis Angelo, and Mrs. James Cornett, all of Denver; Mrs. U. M. Adams, Marcellus, Mich., and Mrs. Eugene Puetz, Spencer, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Tentinger, Le Mars, Iowa; 32 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
