Mrs. Anna Adams, aged 90 years died Tuesday at her farm home in Porter township. She was born Feb. 20, 1856, at Whittaker, Va., the daughter of Elijah and Eliza Fletcher. She came to this community as a girl of 18, and had made her home in Lawton and Porter ever since.She was married in 1876 to Franklin B. Adams, who passed away a number of years ago. During her more active years she was a faithful worker in the Methodist church. The care of her home was her primary interest. She was a good neighbor and friend.
She is survived by two sons, Horace H. Adams of Paw Paw, and Frank Adams of Porter, with who she lived; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Cameron funeral home in Lawton. (Note: pencil mark notes 7 great-grandchildren)Harry Adams Dies at Western Home
Word has been received that Harry Alford Adams passed away February 24th, 1947. Harry was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Adams, former Marcellus resident.He was born August 9, 1891 in Porter township. He attended the Marcellus school. Harry was a World War I veteran. He was married in 1921 to marian Saunders of Charlevoix, Michigan. They moved to Wilmington, California where they resided at the time of his death. His wife and three children of Wilmington survive him. Harry's mother, Mrs. George W. Adams and three sisters, Hazel Adams of Detroit, Mrs. W.L. Kunce of Reno, Nevada and Mrs. C. Irving Gale of Coloma, Mich., and one brother Jack K. Adams of Dearborn also survives him.
